For the second quarter of 2020, the Navigator® All Cap strategy had a return of 19.70% (18.85% net) vs. a 22.03% gain in the Russell 3000 index. For the past five years ending June 2020, All Cap gained 4.55% gross on annualized basis (1.47% net) vs. 10.03% for the Russell 3000. Our positioning in Consumer Discretionary and Real Estate helped relative performance while our positioning in Industrials and Information Technology acted as a drag in the second quarter of 2020. Portfolio holdings in Williams-Sonoma and Apple helped relative performance while holdings in J2 Global and Assurant hurt performance. During the quarter, the strategy was overweight having large-cap companies with market capitalizations above $15 billion. The value and quality characteristics of the All Cap strategy remain solid in comparison to the S&P 500 as it possesses a current P/E of 20.3 vs. 23.3 and lower earnings variability combined with higher gross and net profit margins with similar business growth characteristics.
