The mission of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc. is to improve the quality of life within our communities and enhance educational and economic opportunities for all African Americans.  100 Black Men of Philadelphia, Inc. brands a LOCAL MISSION: To Educate and Empower Our Youth, Their Families, And Our Community.

They are committed to the intellectual development of youth and the economic empowerment of the African American community based on the following precepts: respect for family, spirituality, justice and integrity.

Their vision is to serve as a beacon of leadership by utilizing their diverse talents to create environments where their children are motivated to achieve, and to empower their people to become self-sufficient shareholders in the economic and social fabric of the communities they serve.

Their Program Pillars focus on five initiatives:

A few of their programs are:

  • Pathways to Success – partner with Wells Fargo to teach HS students workforce readiness skills
  • Leadership Academy – for 7th – 12th graders – teaches them grooming and educates young men about becoming of age, how to care for themselves and have a positive attitude
  • Manhood 101 – for 18 – 29-year-old – sessions cover self-development, family matters, education, banking/investing, home ownership, college, insurance, economic empowerment

Parent Academy – partner with 100 black women and discuss relationships & social circles, male puberty, morals & family values, discipline & structure, goals & self-worth, personal finances
