Triangle Aphasia Project, Unlimited (TAP)

Triangle Aphasia Project, Unlimited (TAP) is a nonprofit that serves individuals with aphasia, largely stroke and brain injury survivors and their families throughout North Carolina (and increasingly throughout the country as our programming has gone virtual during the pandemic). Aphasia is a communication deficit that impacts a person’s language. Aphasia can affect speech, reading, writing and/or comprehension. Aphasia does not impact intelligence or memory. TAP provides group programs like speech therapy and interactive skills as well as family trainings to assist individuals in dealing with aphasia and the changes that come with it.
